Film Hub: Award-winning films that help healthcare teams see the world through the eyes of the communities that we care for
World Heart Day: Celebrating nurse-led innovation in cardiovascular health At the Burdett Trust for Nursing, we are proud to support nurses who are leading approaches to prevention, treatment, recovery and long-term care across communities in the UK and beyond. Every year, World Heart Day shines a spotlight on the importance of preventing cardiovascular disease and improving outcomes for people living with heart conditions. Through our Cardiovascular Disease funding programme, we have invested in projects that demonstrate the unique contribution of nursing to improving heart health. These initiatives place nurses at the forefront of addressing health inequalities, supporting self-management, embracing innovation and strengthening specialist care. We have supported the Race Equality Foundation’s work to improve blood pressure control and shared decision-making among ethnic minority communities, using innovative approaches to empower people to better understand and manage their cardiovascular risk.
