Professor Gemma Stacey, Nottingham Trent University

Burdett allowed us to be truly experimental and creative and curious.

I received a grant from Burdett to develop a forum that focused on enabling students and early career nurses to process some of the challenging situations and emotions that they were encountering in their work.

Through a partnership with the Foundation of Nursing Studies, we’re training champion facilitators of resilience based clinical supervision and giving them support to implement their own training programs in their practice areas

That model is now being delivered all across the world

We know that it’s very popular. People enjoy it. They find it supportive.

We’ve also been able to really start to gather evidence to show the difference this is making to nurses across the spectrum

The ripple effect and the spread has been phenomenal and the outcomes of this project have been beyond anything that any of us ever could have imagined.
